The flag is a red over white over green tricolour with the central white stripe being double the width of each of the other two and with the coat of arms in the middle. The coat of arms is divided per fess by the mountains of Vranica and Vlašić argent accompanied of three wavy ribbons azure below it, the chief is divided per pale sinister in gules and argent in its second quarter over all with three mullets per fess, one argent on gules and two azure on argent; the base is per pale dexter argent and vert in the third quarter over all an olive branch countercharged azure and argent.
