The flag of Ugljevik is vaguely based on the coat of arms, showing a wavy bar between three black diamonds on the white field. The diamonds represent coal, after which the town is named and that is the traditional industry in the region. Like the most of the modern community flags in Serbia and Srpska, the flag is prescribed to be square, but is apparently used also as 1:2 rectangular flag.
