After the uprising in 1957 a new coat of arms was adopted, but it was no more set in the flag. Blazoning: Azure, radiant from a chief Or, an escutcheon barry of 3, Gules, Argent and Vert, bordered Or, surrounded with a wreath of wheat with ribbons dexter Gules, Argent and Vert, sinister Gules, a mullet of five Gules bordered Or atop.
