[The FAME - Flag and Arms of the Modern Era]

The FAME is site devoted to systematic and scientific study of flags and coats of arms. Such symbols often bear strong political and other messages. Inclusion of those symbols here does not mean that the author support or approve the ideas they may stand for.

This group might be called "tricolour rearranged" giving some clasical tricolour possibilities yet unsused by any other independent nation. Such are vertical tricolour of blue-red-white, diagonal tricolour of red-blue-white, and tricolour of Madagascar pattern blue over red with white hoist.

Other variations

This group uses some other clasical roots for the flag - banner of arms of the Celje (Cilli) blue with three golden stars, red-blue-yellow horizontal tricolour and the tricolour inverted to the raditional pattern - red-blue-white. The idea of replacement of one stripe with a yellow one was latter adopted, though not in the same design as here, as the naval jack.

Smith's proposal

The flag design proposed by Whitney Smith retains the traditional white-red-blue tricolour pattern and includes the Triglav motive as a zig-zag middle stripe.

Znamierowski proposals are also retaining the three traditional colours, though here they are arranged in a pattern that may be remotely connected with Czech flag, and also remining to the Smith's proposals for Guyana flag, though in different colours.

Prijatelj Proposal

[Prijatelj Proposal] [Proposal] 1:2
