The coat of arms of the community of Tržič is Azure, massoned walls Argent issuant from base with four embattlements. The flag is somewhat simplified banner of arms, vertically divided blue and white embattled.

The traditional coat of arms of Tržič was set in a red flag. The red field is said to symbolise the leather industry.

The emblem used as the coat of arms is golden bordered green shield with golden image of a window, two corn ears, scissors, a skin and a horse-shoe. Lately, it is set in the centre of a white table flag with the name of the community above it, but the decision on the flag was not made.

The coat of arms is Or in base civic walls with roofed towers Vert in base from which is issuant a skyscraper Argent. The symbolic should be read as referring the traditional (embattled walls) and modern (skyscraper). The vertical flag is the primary flag vertical divided green and yellow bicolour with the coat of arms off-set to the base. The horizontal version and other variations are allowed in certain cases. This design is modernization and "vexillolgization" of the 1992 design.

Since 1960's to 1991 the city was called Titovo Velenje.

The design of the coat of arms adopted in 1992 after public concourse is basically the same as used currently, although the shades of colours were somewhat different, and the skyscraper was actually coloured very pale blue. The flag, adopted in 1995 was pale yellow with a pale green stripe in base and with the coat of arms off-set to hoist.
The 1991 decisions cited in Banderas must be referring to something else, since this design was adopted by a public concourse in 1992 only.

The coat of arms pictures symbolically hands of the mine and factory workers in a red field, a blue inverted chevron embowed standing for the city's initial V, and the Yugoslav red five-pointed star fimbriated golden in a white filed, together forming the Slovenian tricolour.

The coat of arms of Velika Polana is per fess fimbriated or azure three daisy flowers argent seeded or and vert on a base sable a stork proper. The daisies (Slov. marjetke) cant the name of the community (meaning "great meadow") known as the site of storks. The flag is blue with two yellow stripes forming a square blue area in the middle with three daisies, two over one.

Per fess embattled fimbriaed or, in chief azure a book argent binded gules between two ink bottles of the third with ink of the second with as many feathers proper, and in base vert a tur oxen of the first. The book and the writing tools represent that from this region emerged number of prominent Slovenian writers in last 500 years. The oxen is fgound in the coat of arms of the noble family Auersperg or Turjaški canting their name in both languages. The flag is blue with two vertical white stripes forming a central blue field containing the book and ink bottles with feathers from the coat of arms.

Previous coat of arms that were used by the community were described lapidary in the 1995 statutes: "... composed of a shield with a crown with five columns and four open spaces. Beneath is the Slovenian tricolour above which is rising a silver Pegasus." No coloured image was reported. No flag was adopted at the time.

The coat of arms is per fess chief per pale azure a corn stalk issuant with two leaves or, or a vine branch fesswise with a leaf vert and a bunch of grapes gules and argent a wooden bridge vert over a base wavy azure. The flag was not adopted, but a green flag with the coat of arms in its centre is used nevertheless.

The final flag proposal was green with a rectangular panel containing the charge from the base field of the coat of arms. However, the community in the end decided not to adopt any design, although started using the above with the coat of arms.



Vipava

The coat of arms is argent on a triple mount azure a vine tree proper with two bunches of grapes vert and two leaves of the same. This is the modernization of the town's coat of arms recorded in 1689. There are two verions of the flag - regular and ceremonial, each in horizontal and vertical variant. The regular flag is blue over green bicolour with the coat of arms in the middle. The ceremonial flag, used only on the high holydays and special occasions, is with the coat of arms of-set towards hoist and with golden fringe along the fly edge.

Vitanje

Purpure, three Escallops proper or In wine-red field three shells is the blazon of the coat of arms of Vitanje. The artistic rendition is copied from the representation in the parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Vitanje, on the right window behind the altar. According to the legend, in undetermined long past there was a lake in the valley of Vitanje community. The lords of Vitanje used this coat of arms as their family arms around 15th century, and the town took it for its own latter on. The flag of the community is adopted finally in 1996, vertical triband of wine-red and white with the coat of arms in the middle.



Vodice

The coat of arms of Vodice is a modern shield divided into upper yellow and lower blue field by a wavy white line that on the edges continues into the white shield outline. In the blue field there are white rectangles. The coat of arms is canting the place-name, picturing the abstract geologic symbol for underground waters. The yellow field symbolise the sun, energy and rich fields. The flag is based on the colours from the coat of arms, divided into two unequal fields with the coat of arms on their boundary.
