The coat of arms is azure a daphne shrub with seven leaves vert in the base from whicch is issuing six quatrefoil flowers gules slipped argent seeded of the last and or. The flag is vertically divided bicolour of green-blue-green with the shurb form the coat of arms set in the middle field. The plant represented in the symbols is Daphne Cneorum F. Arbusculoides, that is found in protected areas in the community.

The coat of arms is blue with yellow sun/flower and with two green leaves in base fimbriated white. The white lines symbolize the traffic importance of the community near the Italian border. The flag is divided into blue and green halves, the blue half containing the sun emblem from the coat of arms.
Šenčur

As name Šenčur is derived from Slovenian name of the saint it is no wander that the coat of arms pictures St. George killing the dragon. The flag is yellow and blue diagonally divided with the coat of arms in the middle. The horizontal and vertical flag are prescribed in different ratios.

The coat of arms of Šentilj is Vert a Triple Cross issuant from a Crescent Argent all pommed Or set on a ball also Or. The patriachal cross is from the top of the Šentilj church to wehich the crescent in base was added in 1839 in memory of year 1532 when it was plundered and damaged by Turks. The green background represent the colour of Styria. The flag is green with a thin yellow line forming a green square field at hoist that contains the triple cross from the coat of arms. While the flag is shown with the yellow stripe in sources, it is prescribed to be white by the decision adopting the symbols. It is unclear which is wrong.

The coat of arms of Šentjernej is a golden singing rooster in green stanging on ground. The flag is based on the coat of arms, vertically divided in three yellow-green-yellow with the attribute from the coat of arms in the middle. The flag is supposed to be hoisted only horizontally, and there is no vertical variant.

Like many other places named after St. George or which have this saint for their patron, Šentjur also pictures St. George killing the Dragon in her coat of arms. The field of the coat of arms here is red, St. George is shown as a knight in golden armour riding a silver prancing horse and holding a lance piercing a green dragon beneath.
The flag is based on the colours from the coat of arms, quartered in red-white-white-green. The official description of the colours name them as cinnabar red (otherwise also known as vermilion), chromic oxide green and cadmium yellow - golden.

The coat of arms of Šentrupert is azure a lion rampant or armed gules holding in his right paw a crescent increscent argent. The basis for the choosing of these attributes are frequent lions found in the coat of arms in the church of St. Rupert, it appears in the coat of arms of the noble family Barbo (azure a lion rampant argent overall a bendlet or) and in the attributed coat of arms of St. Ema (or Hemma) in Valvasor's armorial (per pale or three lions passant sable armed gules and azure a fess argent between three crescents pendant also argent). The flag is composed of blue square field next to the hoist and yellow field in the fly. The hoist field contains the attributes from the coat of arms. Both horizontal and vertical versions are prescribed.

The coat of arms of Škocjan is divided per fess Vert and Azure fimbriated wavy Argent, in chief on three pylons Or a massoned two-arched bridge with stone fence broken off in three places, and in the chief a bunch of grapes with nine balls flanked with two curls also Or. It pictures the most famous building in Škocjan - the two-arched stone bridge over the Radulja creek, one of the three of the kind in Slovenia. The flag is divided in two, the hoist square is green with the attributes from the coat of arms, and the fly is a triband of yellow, green and yellow. The flag is prescribed only for vertical hoisting.

The coat of arms and the flag adopted originally in 1996 was the same as current but with the bunch of grapes and the curls. While the prescribed flag design should have had the bridge lesser then the square field, on the flags reported in use the bridge was also reaching the edges of the flag.
Škofja Loka

The coat of arms was modernized in 1997 to Vert on a Base Sable a Gates Or in entrance a Moor's Head Sable crowned Gules. The flag was at the same time simplified to simple yellow over green bicolour. The Moor's Head is common element in arms and seals of various cities that were under influence of Freising diocese throughout Central Europe. The use of the head within the gates in the seal of Škofja Loka is confirmed at least from 1471. The yellow and green are traditional colours of Škofja Loka, but why and when they came into use is not answered yet. The ratio of the flag is unspecified.

The modernized version of the seal of 1471 was proclaimed for the coat of arms of Škofja Loka in 1962, and the yellow and green diagonally divided flag with that coat of arms in the middle was confirmed in 1965. In 1991 the coat of arms was adapted to the registration plates shield form introducing vine ornament around the castle, and was used shortly.
Škofljica

The coat of arms is or on a base vert a curlew proper. The curlew (Numenius arquata L., Slovenian veliki škurh) is typical for the marshy regions that surrounds Ljubljana. The flag contains yellow square at hoist with the bird from the coat of arms and the fly triband green-yellow-green.
Šmarje pri Jelšah

The coat of arms of Šmarje is quartered: 1 and 4: Bendy Azure and Argent; 2: Per Pale Or and Azure a Pair of Ornamented Oxen Horns counter-changed; 3: Or, an alder branch in bend Sable leaved Vert. The second field is the coat of arms of Gaisruckov family, the owners of Jelše castle. The branch in the third field cants the name of the castle (jelša - alder tree). The flag is blue and white diagonally striped with the coat of arms set in the middle.
