Austria-Hungary, 1894

The new set of flags of the Imperial and Royal Navy established Emperor Franz Jospeh I on 23 December 1894. Even if there was yet another set of flags adopted in 1915, the 1894 was retained in actual use until the end of the World War and the dissolution of the Dual Monarchy.

Even if the new flag with two coat of arms was adopted 1915 it was never introduced, so this flag remained in use in the Navy until the end of the Empire in 1918.

This was done by defacing the previous Admiral’s flags with yellow stars. The Admiral was indicated with three yellow eight-pointed stars, two in white stripe on each side of the coat of arms and one in the middle of the lower red stripe.
