The coat of arms of Ribnik is described in the 2005 Statutes as a shield ending in the base with a point, with the emblem of the cross with four letters S (Cyrillic "С") along the top line of the shield, trees in the centre and two fishes, blue and one one, in the bottom. The design used by the end of 2009 follows this basic description, adding two white panels, one on each side of the cross emblem, the dexter one inscribed with the name of the municipality and the sinister with the year 1818. Since the begining of 2010 a slightly modified design is used, without letters S surrounding the cross, and the year replaced by the year 1850. There are also other minor graphic differences. A flag is not prescribed nor reported.

The municipality was established in 1992 from parts of the former municipality of Ključ, and was initially named Srpski Ključ.
