Croatia - Croatian-Slavonian in Austria-Hungary counties since 1886
The Military Border was no longer necessarily in 19th century and it was slowly reorganized during a longer period of time to be finally disbanded in 1881. Following that the reorganization of the local structure of Croatia was made in 1886, dividing the Croatian-Slavonian kingdoms into eight counties. These remained functional until the end of World War I.

Loosing the capital of Rijeka once again, the county reverted to its (Severin's) 1776 coat of arms. The two earlier flags of 1776 and 1862 were probably retained in use nevertheless.

After the brief period of use of the tricolour flag in 1848, the original 1778 and 1797 flags were restored and used until 1920's.
